Primary 2/3 have had another busy week! On Monday we visited our ICT suite and started to design our own peg and tray names. We hope to finish these and print them out in colour to make our classroom an even more welcoming place.
In numeracy, we have been looking at numbers from 0 to 100. We’ve been thinking about the number after and before. Many have challenged themselves to count on and back from a given large number.
On Wednesday, the whole school went outside to watch the warm up for the ‘Tour of Britain,’ cycling event. Aliyah’s dad kindly brought hats and balloons for us to have! We really enjoyed seeing the police cars, police bikes and the official cars for the event as well as the cyclists.
In our topic this week we have been using oil pastels, paint and our cutting skills to make a plains indian. The children are delighted with their warriors! Each feather in their headdress tells a story. Ask your child about this.
Here are photographs of our other topic work about the plains indians.
Our prints look AMAZING and inspired us in our writing task that week.
