The playground was a little wilder than usual this lunchtime as a horde of dinosaurs descended on the school.
Luckily these ‘dinosaurs’ were in fact puppets, and they came with expert handlers who took care to prevent any of our children from becoming dinosaur lunch!
The creatures are the stars of the Dinosaur Zoo show, which is on at the Festival Theatre on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September.
Our children, not to mention their parents, teachers and younger siblings, were all enthralled by the magnificent puppets.
The STV cameras were there to record the scenes – tune to tonight’s Fountainbridge Show on STV Edinburgh (7pm) to see our school in the spotlight!
As you can see, it was hard to tell which was more exciting for our pupils – seeing the dinosaurs up close, or appearing on TV!
Dinosaur Zoo is on at the Festival Theatre on Saturday 19th (11am and 2pm) and Sunday 20th (2pm only). Visit http://www.edtheatres.com/dinosaurzoo for tickets.
We hope that you enjoyed this event, and if you were not able to join us, we hope that these pictures will give you a flavour of the excitement which was so evident across the playground.
