Primary 2 spent Wednesday afternoon gathering information about the meadows playground. They investigated the materials and colours used, as well as how many of each type of play equipment they could see. They used their note taking and tallying skills to help them with this task. Here they are, hard at work!
After they had gathered their data they of course had to test out the play equipment first hand. As you can see, they had a lot of fun!
Primary 2 will use their findings to design a playground for our community of ‘Laketown’ that is shaping up nicely on the classroom wall. Once they have decided what they want in their ideal playground the children will design a bird’s eye view plan and key to explain it to others.
