A taste of September in Primary 7

We are well and truly back to school now and the class are working hard across the curriculum.

The last couple of weeks we have been focusing on skills for work and the class have been tackling the challenges associated with application forms and CVs for the school’s Young Leader jobs; many thanks to those parents and carers who have supported their children at home on this. The interviews are scheduled for next Monday afternoon and we have been sharing some advice on interview skills to help with this experience.

We are also into the final week of the first round of literature circle groups, so everyone should be working hard to finish their reading books by Monday. We have been focusing on characterisation and setting and this week we had a taster session on some of the literature circle roles we will undertaking in the next round of reading.

We also had fun trying out some speed book recommendations, which was interesting for a whole host of reasons, as the photos hint at.

In amongst this, we started our Christmas cards………..
